While rooted in a sensory approach to classical ballet, I embrace the definition of form, directionality, conversational timings, and physical dynamics. Within this framework, I encourage the exploration of entirely imagined worlds, fostering an environment for artists to conjure and experiment freely within improvised moments next to more classical parameters. In Meteorite, I am exploring the poetry of sheer energy and encounters with friction & pressure. The use of the pointe shoe brings an element of risk, elevation and virtuosity, which cannot otherwise be achieved. Meteorite asks each dancer to channel this energy with extreme intention and specificity. Meteorite is an inquiry into fearlessness.
